Run Fast, Milo!
Nashville-artist Julie Sola illustrates a day in the joyful life of her favorite pup...
Run Fast, Milo! is a playful narrative that will fuel young imaginations while winning their hearts. With simple, descriptive sentences, a relatable tale of gleeful exuberance, and its bright, original illustrations, Run Fast, Milo! is that special book that will be loved by children and appreciated by parents. Tapping into the artistic-style she honed at Hatch, author Julie Sola typeset Run Fast, Milo! by hand, using antique Cheltenham type and then hand-carved each image out of linoleum before hand-printing it on a 1964 Vandercook proofing press. This rare and meticulous approach to illustration infuses Run Fast Milo! with a Southern charm while making Milo’s endearing tale a nightly joy to read.

About the Author of Run Fast, Milo!
An artist, designer, and printmaker working with linoleum and wood cuts, Julie Sola currently owns and operates Fat Crow Press, which specializes in design and illustration in Nashville, TN. Prior to Fat Crow Press, she was a designer and printer at the legendary Hatch Show Print, a 138-year old letterpress poster shop. It was Julie's hand-made illustrative style and her love for creating art that allows viewers to create their own story that led her to write and illustrate children’s books. When she's not writing children's books or creating original art, Julie can be found moonlighting as the wardrobe coordinator on the US and World Tours of Rod Stewart and KISS. Her second book, Possum Dreams, will be published by Spring House Press in March 2018.
